Footwear: Wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes (sneakers or sturdy work shoes). Spills, dropped utensils, and hot liquids are common; sandals, flats, or canvas slip-ons leave your feet vulnerable.

Hair: Long hair should be tied back securely. Many kitchen guidelines require a baseball cap, hairnet, or visor.

Clothing Fit: Avoid overly loose sleeves, long necklaces, or dangling strings that could catch on equipment, dip into food, or get snagged while carrying heavy trays.

Minimal Jewelry: Limit jewelry to plain wedding bands or simple items. Rings with stones can tear gloves, and loose jewelry poses a hygiene risk.
